car seat leather dyes

What is the best way to treat discolored leather car seat ?
I mainly have a problem with my driver’s seat (light tan). I believe a lot of the discoloration comes from the dye from clothing. I have tried some cleaners but I have not found an effective one. Any suggestions would be a great help.
You didn’t mention what color the discoloration was… but these days most clothing doesn’t have transient dye, except for perhaps denim. most others use dye that is part of the makeup of the fiber. Going on this, Red stains will not come out;. if it is a blue/grean tint, get saddlesoap from the shoe store/department and some peroxide from the phamacy. with a white towel, test the leather with the peroxide on an inconspicuous area. if it does not discolor the leather, clean the affected area with it, followed by cleaning it further with the saddlesoap. ON ANYTHING ELSE, use only the saddlesoap, since it is more likely grime than color.
NOTE: you will need to do BOTH seats with the saddlesoap, since it has conditioners that will slightly change the tone of the colored seat; Don’t worry. it’s a good thing!
