What infant car seat is the best “fit” in a 2009 Subaru Tribeca?

We are having an issue with the car seat in our 09 Subaru Tribeca. We have the Graco Snugride, but the problem is the passenger seat has to be almost all the way forward to fit it in….so it makes it basically unusable (it can’t go in the middle as then it affects both seats). My son is only 2 weeks old, so we have to have a rear facing seat. Does anyone know of a high quality seat we could use to by us some room? or has a similar experience and how they worked around it?

since any car seat fits any car made with seat belts
and start looking for a bigger car cause baby doesnt get smaller if you dont have room now think six months or a year form now
