I need advice on purchasing a car seat. Can neone help me decide betw Britax Marathon & Britax Boulevard? thnx

The Boulevard has True Side Impact Protection (TSIP) which are the headwings, the Marathon does not have these. The Marathon has top harness slots of 17 inches while the Boulevard is slightly lower (16.75) due to the headwings. You don’t have to rethread the harness on the Boulevard but do on the Marathon. The Boulevard has adjuster knobs on the side to tighten the harness while the Marathon’s adjuster is a pull strap located in front. Also, the Marathon has more cover choices.

What kind of vehicle will the seat be used in? Will it be outboard or in the middle? I chose to purchase the Boulevard for my daughter because of the TSIP. I have a very small car that got poor side impact crash ratings. The purpose of the headwings on the Boulevard is to reduce head movement and prevent the head from hitting the door or other parts of the car in the event of a crash. I felt the TSIP of the Boulevard was very important in my case.

I would definitely suggest going to a baby specialty store (i.e. Babies R Us) to try out the seats in person and then purchase the one you like online because it’s cheaper (plus, no tax and free shipping).
