make car seat higher
What to expect the first few months?

Me and my husband are expecting our first child (a little girl) at the beginning of June. We’re all ready with the nursery, high chairs, car seats, clothes, toys etc. I’m going breastfeed. I’m taking off from work for a while. He’s going to stay home for a week or two to make sure we’re both ok. What should we expect from day one to the first month or so?

Prepare for worrying way too much about how much your child poop, pees, and spits up.

Sleepless nights. Babies get their day and nights confused so they end up sleeping more during the day and less at night.

Always worrying about if they are gaining weight or not, especially if you are breast feeding.

Spending all of your time when they are awake constantly checking on their breathing.

Sometimes the exhaustion puts a strain on your relationship with your partner. Try and work as a team. That really helps.

You’ll over dress the baby. I constantly had her in too many clothes when she was born.

Always taking picture with the camera. Poor kid always had that thing in her face.

You’ll learn special tricks for putting them to sleep and go through about 100 different things before figuring it out (i know of not one person who had a baby that just went to sleep when they were put down).

You will experience the greatest love ever.

Congradulations and good luck.
