car seat higher weight

Worried about baby girl getting too big before a year old…car seat? will give best answer!?

My baby girl is almost 4 months old…little over a week ago I took her to the doctors for a cold and she is almost 15lbs! I am worried that she will be over the weight limit for her rear facing car seat before a year old which is 22lbs. Any suggestions on affordable rear facing car seats that go higher than 22lbs…or is there a such thing as a rear/front facing car seat that I can convert too? Any suggestions will be great!!

My son was 15 pounds exactly at his 4 month checkup. He is almost 5 months now, and he is looking huge in his infant carrier. (nevermind it being really heavy!) We just went and bought him a new carseat on Saturday. We got ours from babies r us, and used a coupon. We bought the envenflo triumph advanced. After our coupons we paid about 135 for it (i think without coupons it was 160) It is side impact tested, and you can use it both rear and forward facing. We havent set it up yet, but hopefully my hubby will set it up tomorrow since he has off from work.
