new booster seat law for childern?
i carry 3 childern on the backseat of my car, does the new law about booster seats apply to the middle seat with a lap belt, as i feel it would cause more damage with a booster seat
anybody know where there is an offical webpage about this?
On the radio today they said if you cant fit 3 booster seats in the back then you dont have to.
Are there any exemptions?
Three exceptions allow children 3 years to 135 cms in height to travel in the rear and use an adult belt:
in a licensed taxi/private hire vehicle, if the right child restraint is not available; or
for unexpected necessity over a short distance, if the right child restraint is not available; or
where two occupied child seats in the rear prevent the fitment of a third child seat.
New child booster seat law is now in effect
The Texas Department of Public Safety says children under 8 instead of under 5 need to be in a child safety seat.
