I need car seat advice?

So my son is almost 6 months and is ready to move to a bigger car seat because he weighs 19.1oz and is 29in. Obviously safety is a must!!! But I cant afford a $300 car seat plus im looking for safety but resonably priced. I have looked at the Evenflo Triumph car seat and liked that one but I hear Britax is better. Any idea’s on a safe, well priced car seat whatever the brand. Thank You!

I did a lot of research looking of course for a safe, comfortable car seat that was reasonably priced. Brand name is a great way to go, of course, and I wish I could have afforded something like Britax but they were all at least 200$ and mostly upwards of 300$. Of course, just keeping look at websites for the the features you want. Give yourself about a week to do it and then after you have picked one, wait three more days before going to buy it to make sure it’s really what you want.

I finally settled on the one below: This seat was available at the store, so I didn’t have to order it online. It’s less than 200$ and good for up to 65lbs. Your child could ride in it rear-facing, since he is still young. It will convert forward facing when you feel like is is ready for that. It has a cup holder and the head rest will detach till his is tall enough to need it (sounds like he pretty much is!!). It is also very comfortable, which was a must for me (as my daughter hates the car seat).
