Do car seats expire?

I have an infant car seat from 1999 and I know it has never been in an accident or anything, it is in real good condition. It doesn’t say anything in the book or on it that they are good for only so long. Does anyone know if they eventually expire?

Car seats have nothing in common with milk. They don’t expire.
