im trying to replace a seat on my mark 4 golf but the airbag plug on the bottom is a different colour?

My airbag light is on. My mate has software on his laptop and its fault coded the problem in passenger seat. I have bought a new seat ( golf mark 4) but the plug is yellow with purple insert. My car has a completely yellow plug. What to do?

If the problem is the airbag then why are you changing the seat?
If the plugs are the same shape then what difference will the colour make?
