My sister has her 9 month old baby in front facing car seat?
I have a six month old baby little girl and my sisters daughter is almost 9 months old. When I met up with her 2 weeks ago I saw her put her daughter in a front facing car seat when I said something to her she told a trained profecinal told her it was OK and she was really short and rude about it and wanted to me to mind my business I kept pushing it because Im concerned and she said they told her the weight limit it 20lbs my daughter was 23lbs at 5 months and I would NEVER EVER put her in a front facing seat although I do not know the law on it here in the US?? I personally think the longer they can be rear facing the better and safer for baby too does anyone know the car seat law?

There is no way in Hades I’d be able to convince my sister that what she is doing is dangerous for her child. It would be a pride fight, and even if I had reports and printed out papers she would never listen to me. Your best bet is to get your mom involved. Talk about the benefits of facing backwards longer, and the dangers of it. Find out the laws in your area (because most are 20lbs AND 1year but it may not be the same in your state.) Point out the carseats that face backwards to 35lbs (the Graco-35 is wonderful. It’s not that expensive, and it faces backwards to 35.)
Convince your mom, and she will hopefully know how to tell your sister in a better manner.
