Pontiac – New Car Culture In Second Life

Pontiac’s latest goal is to gather vehicle aficionados and to create a brand new car culture in the industry. Along with its renaissance is the hope that people would love its new set of cars.

The automaker will set up Motorati Island in the later part of November. Said island a 96-acre section in Second Life. AdWeek via MarketingVox reported this information. Basically, the concept for its renaissance is simple.

Pontiac also intends to create a culture of car lovers on the island itself.

The designed proposal of the automaker will be submitted next month in Second Life. Nonetheless, said proposal can be accessed at MotoratiLife.com.

Another move towards the goal is the release of groundbreaking vehicles.

It is known that Pontiac, among the brand lineup of General Motors, features sporting performance and free-spirited vehicles with that air of youthful driving at competent price. Pontiac body parts, for instance, are designed to deliver superb durability to cater to the needs of modern day driving. Successful releases of the carmaker include Pontiac Solstice roadster and G6. Nowadays, Pontiac’s mighty rivals include Honda Accord and Nissan Altima.

Produced by General Motors, Pontiac is a marque of automobiles that has been sold in the United States, Canada, and Mexico since the year 1926 making it around eighty years ? one of the longest brands to stay in the market. Looking at the General Motors line up, the Pontiac is a mid-level brand that features a more sporting, and performance-driving experience for a reasonable price.

In terms of its logo, the Pontiac logo was originally meant to represent an Indian, the Native American, arrow-head. And one of the remarkable vehicles that bear this logo is the 2006 Pontiac G6 ? a 2 or 4-door sports car, family sedan or sports sedan that can take up to five passengers. It has a gas mileage of 23 mpg if you are looking at city driving, or 34 mpg if it means driving on the highway. It has a 4-speed automatic transmission.

Late last year, a two-door coupe made its way to the market, and this year 2006, a two-door convertible will be rolling off the highways. Also added in is a new performance-oriented GTP trim level that includes a 240-horsepower V6, an available six-speed manual transmission, 18-inch wheels, and standard stability control. Also included in the list of changes done to this model are a standard power driver?s seat, a new front-passenger detection system for airbag deployment, and a new three-spoke steering wheel design.

However, on the other hand, objections to this model includes the electric steering offers little feel for the road, lack of attention to details, unrefined suspension, and a nose-heavy handling. Standard features for the Pontiac G6 comprises of a trunk anti-trap device, front power vented disc and rear power 270-mm solid disc brakes, an AM/FM radio with seek/scan and 6 speakers, and a CD player. Options are side head curtain airbags and front side airbags, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, and an AM/FM radio with in-dash 6-disc CD changer.
