car accident (you can use the car seat)?

I have a child 3 months old and today my husband took the child to the store and another car is hit at a stoplight. It was only found (the truck was not messy, but our son was fine) but I wondered if we needed to get a new car seat yet? We do it with the old? (As we pull away or what) The car seat was not, but I was not sure if still And I could use it if you can not answer even give a real answer? Do you really need the points badly? Thank you all. I think you're not supposed to use a safety seat if it has been in any accidents. The car could not have been hurt, but I'm sure it still moved a little and do not know what could have happened to the car seat. try to contact the seat manufacturer and ask them. Also, maybe you can call the local police department? Will all the laws on car seats in history. In my state, I know it's illegal to sell a car seat, because you can not know if it was an accident.
