car wheel noise?

I recently bought a Seat Ibiza (UK). During the test ride, the car seemed fine but after a few days, I have started to hear a rhythmic noise coming from one or two wheels (sometimes front and sometimes rear). This doesn’t happen all the time but still is very frequent (or maybe I can’t hear it all the time??)

The noise is audible when I am traveling at around 20 mph but it I can’t hear it at higher speeds. The rhythm increases in frequency for a while and then either disappears or the frequency is too high to hear a rythm.

I suspect that it is coming from the wheel bearings but I am not sure. I plan to take it to the garage this weekend but would like to get an idea of what might be wrong.

Any thoughts? The sound usually goes vubb vubb vubb vubb
and at higher speeds… vubububub vubububub.

It could be as simple as different road surfaces producing the sound
