What is your suggestion for fixing the Detroit auto companies?

My seat-of-pants suggestion, is we go to Honda, Toyota and Hundai, and pluck operations management away. Then we toss the auto company executives to the ranks of the unemployed, and let Ford, GM and Crysler begin making cars people want to buy. That’s my suggestion. What is yours?

A massive attitude adjustment.

Fire anyone who says the phrase “we can’t.”

American manufacturing especially automotive has become anti-innovation.

Like I’ve said before:

Present an idea at an American manufacturer and you’ll get 200 people telling you why it can’t work.

Present that same idea to an Asian manufacturer and you’ll get 200 people telling how it can work better.
