car seat height requirements

Forward Facing Car-Seat?
My son is 11 months old. He is still in his rear facing car seat….
He still has head room BUT since he is long he has run out of leg room and his shoulders are too broad, we can barely get him into the thing!! We bought a forward facing car-seat in which he fits the height and weight requirements but is not quite a year old yet.
I understand that it is better that they stay in rear facing seat as long as possible but he doesn’t fit and cries every time we put him in the car…he used to love car rides when he fit in the seat!!!
The forward seat that we bought reclines so he can be facing forward but laying down…
Opinions??
Please serious non-rude comments only…
You will be fine to put him in a forward facing car seat. My first was in a forward facing seat by 8 months old. When they say it is best to keep him in the rear facing seat this is assuming he fits that way. It sounds like your son no longer fits so he should be turned to forward facing.

EDITOR WES RAYNAL: I honestly don’t know whether I like this car. With an evening deluge, I tiptoed it home and parked it, thankful I didn’t hit anything or that some wanker didn’t run in to me.
