Question about Car Seat?

This might be a dumb question, but…which side of the car does the car seat go on? My husband and I can’t seem to agree, lol. I think it should be the driver’s side and he says it goes on the passenger side. I’ve never heard of that. My sister has three kids and every time, the car seat went behind the driver’s seat. It was the same thing with my sister-in-law with her two kids. So I’m just curious as to who’s right, me or my husband? (Or maybe there is no right answer and in that case, how do I get him to put the car seat behind the driver’s seat and not where he wants to put it? lol)

We actually put ours on the passenger side so that I could see our son while stopeed at red lights. We now have a van and were able to put him in the middle of the seat which is actually safer. I don’t believe there is a right spot just your preference.
