I messed up my Cadillac trying to hook up my stereo?

professionals installed a sony DVD player in my ‘95 Cadillac. It was stolen. So I put in my Pioneer. It quit after 1 week. The yellow wire from the stereo is wired to a white wire the professionals installed. Now this white wire is cut into and has a 7.5 amp fuse linking them together.It is located under the dash down by the steering wheel.So one end of the white wire is connected to the stereo wiring harness(witch is NOT plugged in)and the other end is spliced into a red wire that is under the dash with a bunch of other wires.Now in the middle of the white wire where the fuse is, the fusible link came off. So I was going to put on a new one. The car is turned off and I was going to re strip the end. But when I went to cut off the end there was sparks every where. There is still power to everything(seats,door locks,dashboard lights) but the car won’t start at all, I mean no click or anything. Could all that sparking blown a fuse?

first of all does the car have an anti theft key system if it does then you need to go to the vats or ing fuse and check that fuse if you have a standard ing system then you need to check two things with a test light check to see if you have power to the purple wire going to the ing switch you can do this at the base of the column at the nutrl safty switch buy checking the one side of the wire it should be hot at all times if it is then check the other side going out to the switch if that is not hot then go under the hood open the fuse and relay center and take your test light and check all main buss fuses i’m sure you’ll find the problem in there good luck cam73 p.s. be carful of the of the yellow air bag wire when useing you test light
