Can someone make this paragraph more interesting?

Here is a paragraph from my essay: In one specific incident, my friend exposed me to the reality of this situation by sending me a link of a video depicting a car crash. The lady was unaware that there was car driving her way, so she opened her phone to respond to a text message. As she took a pause, the car behind her caught up and collided into hers. The driver was shocked as she saw her friend unconscious in the passenger’s seat. Rescue workers came and tried yanking the dented car door out so they could get everyone in the car to the hospital in time. Unfortunately, a baby and the parents from the other car remained unresponsive. The lady who caused the incident greatly regretted her tragic mistake.

I would also describe the impact and the crash, since u seemed to leave that part out, perhaps the car slamming into them caused the car to skid foward while one or the other of the cars dragged some fenders.

other than that, its not terrible, but you definetely could use some more interesting words. dented just kinda seems like something bumped it lol. crumpled or torn will lure the reader better.
