How to setup car subwoofers?

I have this setup.it’s sound loud but more power then clean.I want my car to get bass that you can hardly breathe lol.I have a dual head unit-distribution block to bazooka ela 500.1 amp and to 4 channel planet audio bb75.4 for my rocksford door speakers my subs are Memphis power reference 250 rms a piece tweleves.2 problems 4 channel amp goes in protect sometimes it has same ground as bazooka but only one goes in protect.do I need crossover for deep bass,or bass booster……..basically tell me what to get rid of and what to get or keep

First thing is ground your mono and 4 channel amp at different chassis points. secondly the fact that you have subs that run 250 rms may be part of the issue. Make sure you don’t have the levels on your amp turned up to the point where it is distorting you subwoofer sound. It may come down to the fact that you want your 250 rms subs to be as loud and have as good sound quality as that of a 500-750 rms sub pair and you, or whoever installed it turned to gain up. Make sure the Low pass filter is set to a range that the subs can perform at. Also check that the subs are wired to the correct ohm load that the amp can handle. The type of box the subs are in can play a role as well. Is it ported or sealed? Does the box match the air volume needed for the subs?
