car seat strap position

car seat strap position
where do i put the baby car seat?

which is the safest position my sister had her baby 4years ago and placed the seat rear facing behind the drivers seat and so did this automatically with her next one (now 1year) but ive heard now that the best place is in the middle of the back seat (rear facing) if the middle has a 3point seatbelt.(sometimes the middle just have one strap that goes across your lap)

what have you read/heard, whats your opinion? articles would be great to thanks
im in the UK im not sure the police/firestation help you with this sort of thing (especially in the city, they are WAY to busy)

The safest position is rear facing in the middle However if the install is not tight in the middle and a tight install can be obtained from an outboard position, by all means install outboard. Rear facing is the safest way for children under 4 to ride, but the height and weight limits of the car seat must be followed. Ask at where you bought your seat to see if there are any trained person(s) who can help show you a proper installation.
