Car good for a new baby?

As an early shower gift, I will be getting a new car (!!) from my parents. They don’t think my 2007 Toyota Yaris is safe enough for a new baby, or large enough, so I am in the process of looking for a new car. I like Toyotas, as they have been what I’ve driven for a long time, but I am looking for a sedan that would be practical and large enough for a baby to fit comfortably in the back seat. Anyone have any recommendations?

Ok, so you’re a lucky girl your parents are so sweet<3 Mine have promised me a new car for my birthday when baby will be about 6 weeks old so I'll be reading the answers you get carefully. Volvos are very safe and also really cute. If you wanna stick with a Toyota, I'd get a new Camry or Corolla (hybrid if you like them). I know you said sedan but the Rav 4 is really nice and roomy. I personally like to be up high off the ground so I'm always buying the small SUV's :) Have fun picking it out and let me know what you choose!!!
