brand new car exchange?
i have a brand new car and i could hear some rattles from seat belt holder and some on the dashboard i already bring it back but nothing change the rattle is still there they keep on removing the covers i’m afraid they could break a clip on it or scratch the covers, is it possible if i exchange a new one from the same dealer and same car that i have?.
The dealers generally dont just swap out for another car unless it is within the first 24hrs–and they could lose the deal with you. (there is a huge amount of paperwork when titling a car with the state) After owning the car for a couple days, it is your car. You can ask them to replace the seatbelt or holder, whichever is rattling–but some cars just have inherent noises, especially with the amount of plastic they are made with now. The seat belts are a safety item, so there is not much that is adviseable to change because of the safety factor. You can talk to your svc advisor and ask to drive another like vehicle to compare the noise-maybe a rental of the same model. If it is quieter- then you have a good argument for the repair. You can also take it to another dealer if the first will not fix it. Most dealers want a good survey from you-so mention surveys when you drop off the car and they will try to do a better job… including replacing any worn/broken clips.
