car seat position safety

Chrysler warranty problem HELP?
our 2005 chrysler pacifica has been having a serious problem with the driver seat. the seat adjustment breaks and becomes stuck in an UNSAFE and backward position. My wife and daughter have to sit on the edge of their seat to reach the peddles, which is extremely unsafe. This has been “fixed” at the chrysler dealership 5 TIMES and everytime within a few months or weeks it breaks again, this time it broke accompanied with a burning wire smell inside the car.
being a giant inconvience and most importanly a safety hazard which has been repeatedly “fixed”, is there any way there can be compensation of some time, perhaps a new pacifica?
please help thankss
the car is still under warranty.
Your talking about involking the Lemon Law. You don’t mention which satte you live in but most have them-its just that each states limits are different.
Most only go out to 12 months, but some will go farther-24 months. Need to go to your state government site and do a bit of research.
IF the LAST repair made on the problem (must be the SAME problem on all repairs) falls within the time limit of your states Lemon Law time frame then you have a claim of a new Pacifica.
Sound good, but just like Las Vegas, they don;t part with new Pacificas on a whim. There is arbitration(mandatory) and process and even a lawsuit by you may be in order before it is over.
One other thing I would check it the TSB’s (Technical Service Bulitins) on you particular VIN # car. The dealer can help with this search. It will tell you if any lingering problems exist on this model that Chrysler knows about.
You got your work cut out for you.
Good luck
