Will I need an adapter for my front speakers to fit into place in my car?
I drive a Seat arosea (vw lupo) The standard speakers which come with the car are not particularly great. So i am thinking of buying 2 new ones which are clearer. What size are the speakers needed for an arosa, and will I need some kind of adapter for them?
if the replacement speaker is smaller than the factory speaker, or the one that currently resides there, you will need a spacer or adaptor to fit it up, if the same size speaker then they will most likely screw straight in without any modification.
thats is if you can actually get to them, if your taking a door trim off and are not familiar with its design, be careful! seriously, its easy to break plastic when you bend it the wrong way, look for screws, plastic rives and covers, and the look for the main screws/bolts that attach the handle to the door then you sould be able to work it out!
oh yeah, have fun reassembling it!!

Advancements In Car Safety Features
Car safety has become a major issue these days. It is estimated that 70% of the total fatalities in India is because of road accidents. With this thought in mind, car makers are working hard to enhance safety measures for the driver as well as the occupants. They have recently come up with various innovations and advancements in car safety features. These innovations and advancements can be found in most of the new cars.
Here are some of the recent improvements and advancements in car safety features:
Stability Control: This helps in avoiding car crashes and the function is regulated through electronic computerized technology. It also becomes functional when the driver loses steering and directional control.
Antilock Braking System: This helps in preventing skidding by preventing locking up of wheels on slippery and icy roads. This advancement in brakes is helpful in enhancing steering and directional control. Anti-lock braking system(ABS) pumps brakes automatically in case of a panic stop so that driver can concentrate more on the steering.
Back up Sensing System: This advancement in safety and security features help in producing warning signals when any car or vehicle gets too close to the car equipped with back up sensing system. The sensor is fitted in the rear portion.
Airbags: These are very useful because they automatically form cushions to protect the car occupants in case of car crash or accidents. These airbags are either fitted on the doors, rear seatbacks or in front of the driver’s seat.
Adaptive Cruise Control: The innovation used a long radar sensor to control the speed of the moving car in accordance to the car detected within a safe distance. The system uses throttle and brakes to maintain a safe distance between two cars or vehicles running on roads.
Traction Control: This also works in conjunction with the antilock brakes to prevent wheel locking, skidding and loss of traction.
Crash Resistant Door Pillars: This innovation is very significant in case of side collision. The system helps in deflecting the force of a side-impact collision away from the head area and toward the legs.
Crumple Zones: Car makers have come up with features where in the car gets crumple up in a predetermined pattern to absorb the collision energy by displacing the crash impact and diverting it from the passenger compartment, keeping the occupants safe.
Head Restraints: This is one of the underrated features but is definitely important. This feature helps in limiting head movement during rear impact crash. This in turn reduces the possibility of neck injury. These are present in the front seats.
All-Wheel Drive: This provides power to all the four wheels in order to maximize traction during high acceleration and prevents car skidding or slipping.
Emergency Response: Different responses are required during different emergencies. The emergency response system helps in detecting the cause and responds in accordance. Depending on the emergency cause, the system automatically turns on the interior lights, unlocks doors, cuts down fuel flow, switches hazard lights, and makes the crash details available to the driver in advance.
