How long until my son outgrows his car seat?
At my sons 5 month appointment he weighed 15lbs 11oz, so I know he is way below the limit for weight on his infant car seat (which is 22lbs). However he was also 27″ tall and the height limit is only 29″ on the seat. How long do you think it will take for him to grow those 2 inches? He has followed the 90th percentile for height since he was born. Anyone else have any similar experiences?
I’m mostly just wondering when I will be looking at buying a convertable car seat.

Well, how many inches does he usually grow in a month? That could give you some insight on when to start looking. Personally, though, I’d go ahead and start browsing seats now. He may have a growth spurt soon and grow like crazy. It’s always better to be prepared for what may happen, especially in this instance. Babies R Us regularly has sales on their car seats too. Look on their site or call into your store to see if they are having one or when the next one will be.
