car seat strap position

baby seat in car best place ?

my little girl is 3 weeks old we are going off to the coast for the day and there will be 4 adults in the car plus her car seat she will be in the back but where is the best position for it? can it go in the middle with just the one strap across the front of the seat or is she best near the door? sensible answers please

Passenger side rear. I’ve not seen any UK car seats that go in the middle unless the car is a newer designed and has the shoulder strap for the middle belt.
