Auto Upholstery Problem?

Hi, I have a small hole in the drivers seat of my car. It started as a little burn-hole and has progressively gotten worse in the last few weeks. I don’t think it can be stitched shut as the fabric is worn away, and stretching it out to stitch will probably just leave me with an even larger hole somewhere down the line. Is there any kind of patch or something I can buy to fix this? I’d like to avoid the cost of having the entire seat re-upholstered. There’s a pic of it in this link:
