toddler car seat positions

When you have 2 child-seats in the back of one car, what are the two best positions for them safety wise?

I have one toddler and one pre-schooler. Thanks

Of course the safest place in the car is the center rear seat, but since you can’t put both kids in that spot, you’ll have to choose which one goes there.

Warning… Could cause future trauma and sibling rivalry… “Mom always liked you best! She put your car seat in the center!”
