Doctors Baby Died In Car In St. Louis. Sympathy?
The St. Louis Post Dispatch has been reporting a story from late August about parents, both high ranking medical professionals, who left a baby in the car and fried in 100^ + temp (140 in car).
Mom put the baby in the car seat, dad drove off apparently not knowing, got tennis gear out of the car, went back for do-nuts left in car, never noticed baby and the baby fried.
As disturbing is the fact that prosecuters and law enforcement is split on whether to charge them with something and the St.L Post Dispatch is treating it with sympathy for the neglectful parents and all are making excuses and reasoning.
The dad is a doctor with the childrens hosp., the mom is a med administrator. Similar situations have occured involving non-professional parents and prosecuters and media were quick to condem.
