Convertible seat or combination seat or booster seat?
OK, I don’t even know where to start. I heard you should start putting your baby in convertible/combination/booster seat once he’s 1 year old and 25 pounds. I heard about getting convertible seat is the first step but I want to get a seat that can last until the child is 100 pounds so we don’t have to spend too much money unnecessarily. But I wonder is that because it’s safer to put the child in convertible seat first before putting them in booster seat later on? What is a combination seat anyway and is booster seat means the back is taken out? What brand / model do you guys recommend? My car is an older model (1996 Ford Explorer) so I guess that may make it tricky as well.
I wouldn’t worry about it being convertible to a backless booster. Some do, but they tend to be very big and bulky, and the fabric will be very worn if you have it all that time. You’re better off planning to buy a cheap booster seat later on.
