How to take a baby on a city bus?
A kinda silly thing to think about when I’m pregnant but I don’t own a car and I don’t want one because I panic when I drive. But buses don’t have seat belt and it would take to long to install a car seat every time I got on the bus. Taking a cab everywhere isn’t helpful either because I can’t afford it.
The rules for child restrains do not apply to public transportation, and that includes cabs. You just don’t follow the same rules as you would in a car.
You can wear your baby in a sling or wrap and not have to worry about the hassle of a stroller. Once your baby gets too heavy to comfortably wear in a sling or wrap, you can get an Ergo or similar carrier to wear Baby on your back.
Once you need a stroller, I’d strongly suggest an umbrella stroller you can fold up and keep next to you while Baby sits on your lap.
