car seat tether

why don’t the three row suvs have car seat tethers in the third row when they are only used for children?
I am asking because I have four children and occasionally also the two neighbours children as well so I need to know they will all be safe. Minivan is out as husband refuses to drive it! So I need help. Thanks
I’d check your manual or with the dealer – just b/c the vehicle didn’t come with them installed there doesn’t mean they can’t be. Cars are only required to come with a certain number of tethers installed total; they aren’t required to have them installed in every position. However, in most vehicles, the holes are already drilled and you just have to purchase the tether anchor kit from a dealer. They’re pretty inexpensive (mine was $6) and usually easy to do yourself, or pay the dealer to do it if you’re unsure.
