Convertible Car Seat to Fit in Extended Cab Truck?

We bought a car seat (Recaro Como) and it’s huge! It barely fits in the back of my Cavalier let alone my husband’s 2008 Silverado. We’re looking for something much, much smaller….especially depth-wise.

I feel your pain. I would suggest that when you go to buy your next car seat, talk to customer service and ask if you can take the seat outside to see how it will fit in your truck. Most stores will happily oblige.

Right now we are using a Evenflo Symphony convertible car seat. It fits in my Dodge Ram extended cab (they call it a Quad Cab – it’s between the regular cab and mega-cab), as well as my wife’s Jeep Liberty. We love the seat, and would recommend it, with the only caveat that you should try it first before you buy it.
