Travel system and snap n go ? Advice please?

We bought this travel system http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3156651 our baby is due in January and I have a 2.5 year old. We live in an apartment, and have about 3 minute walk with a toddler to the car, I was thinking of buying a used snap n go for $20 and just having it downstairs and using it when going to the car so I dont have to carry the car seat, and when my husband needs it, to simply throw it in his car instead of taking the big stroller from my car. What do you think should I buy it or should I not?
