car seat safety ratings

What’s a good “family friendly” car, crossover or small SUV?
Im considering getting a new/new to me (and slightly bigger) car (currently have a ‘94 Ford Aspire, still runs awesome, but its a really little hatchback). I figure that if im gonna spend the money on the car it had better be something that will fit in with my future plans , which include 2 kids fairly close in age (in a few years)
So ideally im looking for:
Something with space for two carseats
Excellent Safety Ratings
Preferably good on Gas
Reliable
Room for stroller plus groceries etc in trunk
* If a car I kinda prefer a hatchback
Something not too high up for taking car seats in/out (im short)
So what are your recommendations and why?
What about cars??
Honda CR-V, Mitsubishi outlander, Toyota Rav-4, Subaru forester. Make sure you get the 4 cylinder version for good gas mileage.
