car seat history

How to find how much my car is worth for insurance purposes?
I was involved in a car crash, legally not my fault – but is still going to come off my insurance.
The car is written off and I’d like to know what to expect the insurance company to offer me – and perhaps argue that the car is worth more if I can.
Car was a Seat Ibiza 1.4S, Reg no. Y828 TGC. About 128,000 on the clock. In good working order. Five previous owners, part history for three of them. No visible rust. Small dent rear bumper. M.O.T. good for another 4 months.
Have already tried a few online valuations, they vary so much I’m not sure they’re much good to me.
Don’t be put off by these answers. Go to autotrader and see how much youd have to pay to get a car that us the equivalent of what you had – on age mileage and model with extras etc.
If the insurers offer you less, argue with them and send them printout of the ones you have found that are equivalent and much more than they offer.
The insurers job is to get you to settle for as little as possible and so they offer you silly money first.
Never take the first offer. Haggle Haggle and Haggle. Threaten to go to the insurance ombudsman if they dont move….
All this providing the research you do is comparable and your figure is higher than theirs!!!
