i need help with my subs!!! ASAP! high pitched sound?
i have 2 polk subs.. they were doing fine until today when i decided to move my amp behind my seat… no big deal. but when i turned that car on again, after about 5 minutes, there was this high pitched noise that changed to my acceleration and RPMS.. i later noticed that it also made noise when i turned on my blinkers, a bigger noise when i turned on my hazards, and the biggest noise of all (a somewhat BOOM) when i turn on my high beams….it also transmits the same noise when my car is off…. (only when i use electricity) i need help. i spent alot of money on my setup including a custom built box….
now i have checked the ground wire and moved its location. that did absolutely nothing…. i have also unplugged and replugged my RCA cable from both the amp and head unit…. what needs to be done to fix this?! i need my music. and not that obnoxious sound when i drive!

oh my heart just broke…doh! i hope u didnt accidently ground ur amp. when u move or disconnect amps ur suppose to wait a few minutes for the capacitors inside to discharge.check ur alternator and voltage regulator too and the battery. hell! check everything u can get to with a tester. do u have a cap? check that too…dont forget ur speakers make they arent going on u. check all ur grounds and make sure its actually grounded to the chassis.
normally i would say happy pounding and adjust ur amps accordingly but yeah sorry … good luck
