Baby car seat?

My baby is 10 months and still uses her infant car seat but she is to long for it she weights about 17-18 lbs should i put her in a bigger car seat or when is it a better time to do it

My son is very big (29 pounds) and he’s only 11 months old. We put him in a convertable car seat (still rear-facing of course) when he was about 6 months old. He was too long and too heavy for the infant seat.
