How do I get a pudding stain out of my car?

At least a month ago, I spilled chocolate pudding on the seat of my car. Being the lazy person I am, I didn’t clean it up right then and there (actually I didn’t notice right away). I don’t know what material the seat is made out of, but the car is a Chevy Lumina. I would really appreciate any advice I could use to clean the stain myself without having to take it to professionals. Thank you!!!

You may want to try hot, soapy water. Mix just a drop or two of any common dish soap with hot water and put it in a spray bottle. Spray the area and use a toothbrush to loosen dried pudding. Blot the area with a clean dry cloth, repeat until stain lifts.
You may want to locate the owner’s manuel (google it), just to be sure!

Washroom Cleaners

Whatever the business – public facing, retail, hospitality or just an office block – its washroom is key to its success.  Why?  Because dirty washrooms breed discomfort and disease – neither of which are in any way good for trade.  It follows, then, that humble washroom cleaners are actually some of the most important items on the stock list of any company, no matter what they do or sell.

Unsurprisingly, there’s a bewildering variety of washroom cleaners out there for companies who don’t want to get their hands dirty.  Stock lists of washroom cleaners occupy dizzying lengths on the websites of cleaning product companies:  floor cleaners; floor sanitisers (there’s a difference); handwash; toilet cleaners; toilet fresheners; air fresheners; and on, and on.

Ultimately, of course, the selection of washroom cleaners is all common sense.  A person running a busy pub is going to want several levels of industrial strength washroom cleaners – the day-to-day stuff everyone has, like toilet blocks, hand soap and air fresheners.  Plus a selection of heavy duty washroom cleaners to overcome the soiling inherent in a large volume of users, all of whom have been drinking.  By contrast, the washroom cleaners needed by, say, a small office are little different to those employed daily in the home.  Beyond a nightly going over with extra industrial washroom cleaners like a floor sanitiser, the small office is basically an extension of a domestic environment and so needs a similar level of care.

That said, of course, the level of care one ought to apply to domestic lavatories is pretty high – which means that companies existing even in small offices have a duty of care to provide above-adequate washroom cleaners at all times.  From a productivity level alone, washroom cleaners are necessary to abate the level of sickness in a building: unlike a home, where everyone using the washroom is “used” to each other’s germs, office environments are constantly mixing bacteria from all sorts of locations.  Business WCs not treated with the correct washroom cleaners (and treated often enough) risk breeding corporate versions of the legendary “fresher’s flu” – a catch-all term describing the malevolent effect of mixing germs from all sorts of homes and locations in one vulnerable spot.

At the very least, then, one would expect all premises to carry the following washroom cleaners as daily-use standards:  antibacterial floor cleaner; heavy-duty bleach and toilet cleaner; professional quality hand soap.  Beyond that, one’s choice of washroom cleaners is dictated by the nature of one’s business.  And one’s clean routines are as much a part of that as anything else.  No use having an army of washroom cleaners locked in a cupboard if they’re only used once a week.
